Balagokulam Magazine Teen Internship Program

Eligibility

- Must have completed 7th grade.

- College going youth can contact us for special internship and research opportunities. Adults can contact for volunteer opportunities.

- Should be able to access email communication.

- Must be able to work from home from July 15 to August 30

- Expected minimum efforts required are10 hours per week for eight weeks.

Application Process

- email to editor at balagokulam.org with subject "Teen Internship program" before Saturday July 7.

- Submit a short introduction of yourself with your interests, skills and your objective

- Submit few samples or your writing such as poems, school projects, artwork that is appropriate for the internship you are applying

Internship Categories

Art and Design

Requirements - Must be interested and have skills in visual arts such as sketching, drawing, painting and computer generated/processed art/graphic

Responsibility - Create artwork for various Balagokulam Magazine content

Content Generation and Editing

Requirements - Proficient in American English Grammar, Skilled in written English, Must be able write under guidance and around a given topic, must be a good reader

Responsibility - Create or rewrite content for Balagokulam Magazine, Review and correct Balagokulam Magazine Content, Reorganize Balagokulam Magazine Content

Computer and Media Internships

Requirements - Skilled in using camera, facebook, interest in marketting and promotion

Responsibility - Create multimedia content for Balagokulam Magazine Promotion, promote Balagokulam Magazine online and on social networks

Benefits

- At the end of internship program, a certificate from Balagokulam Magazine would be issued.

- Build your resume for collge applications.

- You will work with the editors and artist of Balagokulam Magazine and will have a unique and valuable experience.

What is the selection criteria? - It depends! but we are looking for skills and motivation. We will also give preference to those who have participated in Balagokulam Magazine Contests.

How many internships you would offer? We have not finalized a specific number but we expect it not to be more than the fingers on one hand.
